All Rock Canyon Gold Crown Basketball Teams Should Have Equal Playing Time
Sam B.
Have you ever watched everyone on your team play basketball while your sitting on the bench? I know we have all been there before. That is why I want equal playing time for all Rock Canyon gold crown basketball teams. Sitting on the bench and not participating in the game makes you feel bad in many ways. It destroys your confidence and makes you feel terrible at basketball. You may also decide not to practice or try your best to get better because you don’t believe in yourself. Lastly you get stressed out and it can affect other things in your life. This is why I want equal playing time.
First off sitting on the bench is like getting left out of a group event, like the movies. It makes you feel left out and not cool enough to join them. It's just like sitting on the bench in basketball. Sitting on the bench makes you feel like you're not a part of the team. If you sit on the sidelines long enough you will soon lose confidence in yourself and get ideas that you are terrible at basketball. It isn’t a good thing and I have seen it happen many different times. Sitting and not playing also will entice you to stop practicing and trying your best to become better because you don’t believe you are good enough.
I have witnessed this step many times. Sitting on the bench may make you want to stop practicing and trying to become better because you don’t believe in yourself. I have seen it happen to one of my teammates. He wasn’t played two whole games so in practice he didn’t even bother to try. Then over the next two weeks he had forgotten some of the important skills in basketball and became worse at basketball. One of the last things sitting on the sidelines will do is it will cause stress.
It may cause stress because the one thing you thought you were good at disappeared. Even if you are good you are doubtful about your skills because of sitting and not playing. This might affect other activities because of stress. It has happened to me a few times. I didn't play in one of our games because I didn't do well at practice. I was so upset I didn't go to basketball practice the next night. I finally got over it but for some people they may not get over it for weeks.
These were just a few of the reasons not getting enough playing time affects you and your basketball skills. We can prevent these issues by giving equal playing time to all basketball players on Rock Canyon gold crown basketball teams.
